"What's for dinner?"
"Pasta and chicken, is that OK"?
It's amazing what you can find out if you just take the time to look it up.
There was no fettucini on the shelf when I went to the store to grab a few things, and I couldn't be bothered asking someone to go get me some from the back, but there was linguini. "What's the difference?" I asked my self.
"Sod it, I'm not goinig to another shop just for pasta, linguini instead of fettucini it is!"
Turns out that fettucini's flat, wider, shape is best suited for thicker sauces while thinner sauces are better with linguini's thinner profile. And there's something about eggs and flour too.
Well I won't tell that to the boss in case she complains about having a thick sauce with linguini.
"Shush, don't you tell anyone either"
Ah well...
