Journeying like a Journeyman

This is my third day up the scaffolding making repairs to the fascia boards of the house. We have removed the old timber boards and have now replaced them with plastic boards. No terribly ecologically sound, I know, but I want to avoid the chore of any further outside painting on this house.

Eric the master joiner is even allowing me to do odd bits of work as you can see. Initially I was only allowed to sweep up and brew the tea but we are making progress.

I can tell you one thing however I now have an even greater admiration for those that do this for a living.

After a lifetime of flying a desk, I find this work quite arduous, particularly on a hot day.
