In the Garden
An afternoon meeting with Max to discuss a new website for the Friends of Garendon Park. I asked him to go away and write a document outlining the purpose of the Friends and of the website.
A hot day, a dress day, at last. Towards the end of the afternoon I got out with the camera with macro lens to take photos in the garden. The ones of the dark purple aquilegia revealed that the flowers were past their best but the Centaurea are putting on a brave display, as you can see.
I always like to see the Centaurea when they first bloom as they spread easily and it's a lovely splash of blue but as summer wears on they become straggly and seem to develop mildew on stalks and leaves.
