A mixture of crafts

U3A Craft group meeting this afternoon. A good turnout as we don’t meet if it’s a Bank Holiday and we have had one of those, Easter and school holidays in the last 4 weeks.

I took my unwanted items for sharing again and had much more success this time. 

There was a lot of chat. The husband of one of ladies has just returned from a touring holiday, six weeks to visit New Zealand via Singapore, then home via the west coast of the USA and Vancouver. I was envious.

Another lady at our table was telling us about her dealings with the NHS. Her husband has cardiac problems and is in ICU awaiting open heart surgery. I’m certainly not envious of him. But was able to provide some support as a nurse and as a survivor. He is probably going to be transferred to Glenfield Hospital in Leicester where I was treated. Circumstances will be different for them as I was admitted during Covid and barely saw anyone else. 

R has gone down to London to run a course for 4 days, so we are doing doggy care for Olive.

The weather is beautiful, we missed out on the thunder storms, so had to water the garden.
