Weir

Over the past few months I’ve been fixing my old bike up to bring it up to something more user friendly. Got rid of those squeaky brakes and put a little rack on the back. I have replaced the handlebars and the column it sits on, and it now has new gears and selectors. For a bike I’ve owned since the mid nineties, it still holds its own. New tyres are next.
I mentioned this, because I went for a ride along the Torrens River Linear Park today and the bike was a joy to ride. I stopped at the weir where the Torrens Lake becomes the river again. Then I turned around and went back west again. 14km there and back. Not too shabby for half an afternoon.
I may have to consider a new bike seat…
