Ercol...

I never really had myself down as a lover of Ercol furniture, however, I seem to have accumulated a sofa, an armchair, a rocking chair and this magnificent beast! 

I'm really having a hard time with the selling aspect of this upholstery lark. Mostly because I want to keep them all. However, I already have a LOT of furniture in my flat and unsurprisingly only one large arse so I really need to improve in that area (selling and the smaller arse thing). I've just signed up for an online selling course which comes as part of the Pathways Project by South of Scotland Enterprise so I'm definitely working on that. 

Anyway, I really love this particular chair and I am in the process of teaching myself to strip paint well and sand even better. I've no idea whether either this project or the little pink rocking horse will work out as planned but one was free and this one cost £40 so it's not the end of the world if I have to repaint them cause they're in a state under the layers on them currently. 

I love other people's old junk. 

I'm not so sure how satisfying stripping the paint off them will be but I'm doing them both now and hope I can see them through.
