Garden Steps

MONDAY

Spent the morning out in the garden.

First job was scraping off some flaking render from the retaining wall, then patching it up ready for painting in a few days. After that, I spent an hour or so raking out the mortar joints on the back garden steps and parts of the paths. Ran out of time, so the pointing will have to wait until later in the week.

An hour of bowls practice this afternoon, then a trip to B&Q for more rendering compound, some compost, and a bag of sand—followed by a quick stop at Sainsbury’s for a few groceries.

Another hot, sunny day, with a few dark thunder clouds drifting in late afternoon and a brief shower of rain.
