Apples and Oranges

By Anitsirk

An unusual day today, but at least I could be at work.
I started my day checking my fast growing wild geraniums for lice, and didn't find any!
Then we had a short run through of what was what with the explosions (rock blasting) that were going to take place during the day. When I was working, we had two. First my boss got a phone call warning us about the explosion taking place, and we had 20 minutes to go outside the gates to the parking lot. There were guard also, along the area, so no one would get in. And then the ground shook and a dust cloud. Of course there were audio signals before and after the blast.
No customers, so I could work on my garden journals in-between, and we also had a staff meeting. I also had a good talk with my boss, and she wants me to learn how to do the watering, so I'll do that on Thursday. We had a laugh too and she said 'We've been through a lot together!', perhaps realising that it's all coming to an end in a few months.
Tomorrow I'll continue with my Curriculum Vitae, replanting and other things. I was thinking of baking a blueberry cake, and said so to a coworker. She then wanted me to promise to make it and we shook hands. So now I need to bake tomorrow...
