Blue day.
Had to go to oban to the funeral of a great argyll musician. He played accordion on the White Heather show in the 60s and accompanied Calum Kennedy and Alistair Gillies, Kenneth MacKellar and many more singers. Alistair Gillies is the only one left and he was there today still looking the bees knees despite his age!
After the funeral and the purvey at least 20 of Argylls finest traditional musician s all got together and had a massive jam session. Neil would have been proud of them. The building is the old Connel village hall though it looks like these old Tabernacle churches.
