STOP

I spent a total of 82 minutes in lineups going to town and coming home, more time than I spent grocery shopping!  In my head, I said, "Nooooooo!" when this flag person let a long line of cars through then stopped me. There were many cars behind me too. It's kind of like being stopped when a ferry's being loaded and you're left behind after everyone in front of you makes it on. Frequent ferry travellers will understand that! 
Good that the flag people working at the road repairs are very visible with the amount of traffic that there is. Plenty of work left to do by the looks of it, and I'm wondering if the repairs will be finished in June as scheduled. Must be a bit of a surprise to tourists to sit in the long lines.
