Proper Etiquette

I have said before that for many of us, the loch has an almost spiritual quality. It rarely fails to calm me and make everything good in my world. Although we are with a group of like minded people, swimming is a solitary pursuit and the repetitive movement is almost like meditation. So, as is proper etiquette in many temples and houses of worship, we remove our shoes before we go in.

The conditions were perfect again. I almost had to post yet another landscape, but resisted and put a few shots here instead. I had another swim to Cameron House without my suit today and was escorted back by Cammie, or as his cousin the philosopher calls him, "the best wingman in the business". It's not that I feel unsafe without him, but his presence at my side is hugely reassuring. I'm grateful he has the patience to slow down to my speed. Not only that, but he was amazingly cheerful for a man just back from 7 weeks in Australia and he bought me breakfast. What a guy.
