The Invisible Man Convention
Had a cracking day at a place called Fyne Court, hidden in The Quantock Hills. Apparently, so my tour guide told me, there used to be a mansion house which was burned to the ground and had some connection with Dr Frankenstein!
Thankfully the cafe, bookshop and toilets survived and thus a tourist attraction evolved.
Joking aside, it was the most beautiful of places with a variety of woodland walks to suit everyone’s ability, a folly, two ponds and an old boathouse half way up a hill!!
One of the ponds was home to newts and Sal managed to get a couple of photos of them. The sun got a bit unbearable in the end so we had a couple of cold drinks in the courtyard and headed back to base.
A trip to Minehead followed to do some shopping once it had cooled down.
Horror of horrors…someone had taken three Minehead Turf Zones off of Sal. The air turned blue! :-))))
