Rose petals

S, the eldest of my nephews is getting married later this month. I vaguely remember a conversation with his fiancée, H, back last summer about “rose petal confetti”. So I picked a couple of blooms earlier in the week that have dried out beautifully in the garage, and these will add to the supply. The garage now smells amazing.

I have slightly mixed feelings about the wedding, I couldn’t be happier for S and H, as they are both lovely. But there’s going to be a huge gap next to me without their Uncle John there.
