Aged to Perfection ???

Looking at my collection of herbs and spices I decided it was time to check on their 'use by' dates.  I was amazed by how many were in fact out of date --and by how much.  The record was taken by ground white pepper, which dated back to October 1996.   My blip is of the ones discarded - 15 in all.   I now have to decide what to replace for our next supermarket shop.
