Bay of Firth, again
It was already fairly warm by the time that Sigyn and I headed up the hill for her first wander of the day.
It was warmer still when I headed to Evie to do a bunch of small jobs for one customer. He was sure that the mains stopcock under the sink turned everything off, but it didn't turn off the supply to one toilet or to the outside tap. Sorting out the toilet meant several trips into the loft to turn off the supply from the tank which the customer insisted wasn't in his loft. It was stupidly hot in the loft. Turning off the supply to the outside tap meant unearthing the stopcock outside and fighting to turn it while being stabbed repeatedly by a holly bush. I was very glad to finish the job and get home.
The job had used up most of my morning and once home I changed and took Sigyn out for another wander. The weather this past while has been superb.
Back home for lunch and to cool off before heading to Stromness to change a flush valve and a fill valve in another loo, and to have a look at a job for another customer. Since I was out that way, I popped in to see the horses. George and Red seemed particularly pleased to see me.
It seems my beautiful wife has had another successful day and is now on the boat home.
