Ocean life

This morning we visited the Maritime Museum in Santander.  We knew we didn't really have time to do it justice, so we concentrated on the aquarium of Cantabrian marine life, which was very good ( although I felt a bit sorry seeing the relatives of some of the fish we had eaten!).
There was one small tank housing some Australian jellyfish. I'm not sure how they travelled to the north of Spain but they were rather attractive.
Then we had to head back along the seafront to the ferry terminal in order to board the 2pm ferry to Portsmouth.
The extra is a sculpture called Los raqueros. These were orphans/ poor children who would jump into the water for a few coins from passers-by.
The sea so far has been very calm and the weather good.
We went out on deck to look for Cetaceans. We saw a few dolphins but whales proved elusive.
