Just landed

Daughter J only just made her flight back from New York due to rush hour traffic, so I stayed awake until the early hours this morning until I knew she was safely on the plane. This is her connecting flight from London, landing in Jersey this afternoon. I was very glad to see it. Unfortunately her suitcase wasn't on it. Sigh.

Anyway she's home, although maybe not for long, as a career move is being planned. This is a small place for an ambitious youngster and to be honest, when we came to live here she was still at uni and I didn't think she'd stay 5 weeks let alone 5 years. 

A lot on my mind at the moment. Oh well, keep calm and carry on, as they say (and get some sleep!).
