Well at least it's not a garden blip for once

Taking pictures of your food is not really the done thing is it. Me excuse is two fold, firstly the only other option would have been yet another flower picture (lots in the garden right now, all blips in waiting.)
Secondly I have never eaten Burratta with Blood Orange and Alexander pesto. I saw it on the menu and thought it sounded a weird combination so ordered it. It was so good, the orange went with the cheese, the cheese went with the pesto and the toasted garlic bread went with everything.
In case I have hidden my enthusiasm I must tell you, I really enjoyed it. And it was just the starter.
We were taken out for lunch by friends in the village who never ever entertain at their own home. They always come and enjoy our summer and New Year do's and wanted to say thank you. A lovely gesture that was really appreciated
