The Swarm

In my neighbour's garden, this was just amazing. My neighbour called the "bee people" who arrived with a large cardboard box with a small hole at the bottom. He put the queen (no, no idea how he found the queen amongst all that lot) into the box and told my neighbour that the bees would follow. He said that he would return at dusk to collect the box (presumably having put some sticky tape over the hole) "after all the bees had gone inside"! Which they did! Isn't nature wonderful?! Co-incidentally, son Chris messaged this afternoon saying "ok, a full swarm of bees just came to our neighbours garden! I was like..... what on earth is that noise, looked up and was like.... oh sh11111t." I thought he was joking but he assured me that he was deadly serious and that thankfully they had buzzed off (sorry). I don't think that he was keen on trying out the cardboard box approach!!
