In Velvet

Near to Kingswood Pools, Cannock and this was one of two red deer stags I came across this morning. Currently their antlers are growing underneath this velvet skin. I hope to be able to capture some more images to show how quickly they grow.

We had the last meeting of the season for the photographic society this evening. We have only been meeting for the last year and a half and only entering competitions this year. Our latest competition was Photofolia, which is open to all Midland clubs and we managed to get 35 of the 45 images we entered accepted. Three of our members also received two ribbons and a medal for their work. Looking forward to next season and encouraging more to join.
