Choices. Choices.
I have struggled to choose the main photo today. Should it be this one, taken from the cemetery at the top of hill and looking east across the North Otago farmland to the sea? The smudge on the horizon really is the sea. And I love the dotty clouds in the distance.
Or should I have picked the first extra of great lenticular cloudage over the toetoes by the dam on S&N's property?
Or perhaps the latest Orkney Farmhouse Cheese, which I cut into today? It is a whopper, weighing in at 700g, when most of my cheeses (all made from 5 litres of milk) are 550g at most. It demonstrates how high the milk solids are at the moment from the autumn pasture on G's farm.
I rushed home from working in her garden late morning to make some fresh bannocks to enjoy with freshly-cut Orkney cheese for lunch. Food of the gods.
The third extra: the pear is still there...
Extra! Extra! This evening's sunset. The first good one of autumn.
