On Watch …

… A back blip from yesterday.

I completely forgot to blip this. The day slipped through my fingers. We had a (very dear) visitor. She came for a ‘quick cup of tea’ early in the morning. early enough for us to put our alarm on half an hour early!(Owing to dropping off her daughter early for a Peak District hike). She stayed much longer than she had intended to, which was delightful. We improvised lunch and (thanks to my forgetfulness) there was also Christmas fruit cake.
After she had left I was somewhat on the back foot for a few jobs that I really needed to finish before an evening Zoom meeting.

I was so hectic I didn’t even have time to open a delivery of watercolour paint which I had been waiting for with ridiculous excitement (for a woman of my age!).
