Season’s Sunset
The last home game of the season, the Jambos with nothing to play for other than a bit of cash but St Johnstone desperate for a win to avoid relegation. And it showed! The home support hadn’t much to shout about, despite two goals giving us a comfortable lead at half-time, which wasn’t great as it was freezing sitting in the shade. (Pensioner would’ve been OK over on the sunny side!) The second half was pretty dire to be honest, all the good play coming from St Johnstone, but in the end they lost 2:1 and are relegated. It’s a tough league.
We repaired to the pub to reflect on what’s been a rubbish season and its many ‘if only’ games. The last match is on Saturday against Kilmarnock and it should be meaty given we’ve just nicked their manager!
