Another one growing through the asphalt

I do like a blue nigella Spotted this on growing through the pavement on my way to the bus. It’s maybe starting to fade, but I thought it was still worth blipping - firstly because of the colour. And secondly, because I think its structure is fascinating - those lovely complex tendrils all around it, and the tiny little hoops at the centre.
A day of getting some things done - haircut, my big Tesco shop. I made the mistake of listening to the news - I can’t tell you whether I’m more angry or sad, listening to the latest bulletins from Gaza……
