Lovely views….
in lovely weather from up here, with only the calling of Peesies (Lapwings), concerned for their newly hatched young! More here than most places this year! In the strath, Ruthven Barracks can be seen close to the Spey, and final home of the Wolf of Badenoch, who died here in the fourteenth century. Partially destroyed after Culloden in 1746 so that the escaping and defeated Jacobites were forced to take to the mountainsides and caves.
