cup more than half empty

I thought I'd take some food photos, but all I remembered to do was this empty early morning coffee cup. Representative of a somewhat underwhelming day: set off to pick grandkids from school, M25 closed, we perservered up the A23 into the depths of Coulsdon, realised we would be literally an hour late, J able to do pickup instead so turned around and headed home with all of the disadvantages of car travel - tired, achy, grouchy - and none of the advantages of having seen the kids.
