Seeing red ....

A day trip to Edinburgh to see Moulin Rouge at the Playhouse.

It's an interesting approach taking juke box musicals to a new level with much to engage the senses (perhaps too much on occasion). The stage sets and costumes  are specular and there were a number of excellent scenes with strong performances from leads and ensembles. Whilst I  enjoyed it, I also felt emotionally disengaged from the plight(s) of the main protagonists.  A fun day out and am glad to have had the opportunity to see it.
