Visiting Pat

I had three loads of washing out before 10am, and then went down to the centre to meet up with Maeve for lunch.  The weather is so good it is worth getting lots of winter things washed and dried off in the fresh air and sunshine.  Maeve and I had a good lunch and chat, and then met up with Bob and travelled down to visit Pat in the care home. 

 Her son Bruce was there also, my godson, and we had a happy hour of banter which Pat enjoyed very much, even though she can't really take part in the conversation.  Bruce is a fire fighter and has many tales, some quite funny and some not so, but he stuck to the funny ones today.  

One of Pat's sons in law has made a terrific picture book of memories of Ron, Pat's husband, who passed on last year, and we all enjoyed looking at it and the memories in invoked.

As I type it is a beautiful evening and I think I will have a walk.
