Another nice day, on the sunny side of the street, as ever! Zipped up gilet needed for the other side.
After our walk round the Links, Archie and I decided to go further, while JR went to the supermarket. We got the bus down to The Mile, and had a look at how the re-setting of the road in the Lawnmarket is progressing... slowly.
Down to Victoria Street. Again - I hope re-setting that street is next on the list. We couldn't resist having an ice cream at Mary's Milk Bar. Archie is looking a bit worried, because I was getting to the end of my cone… And we didn't attempt the Vennel Steps - as is my usual of late - instead, we walked on round by the Art College, on the level, and end up at the same place to cross the Meadows, without the pain of those hundreds of steps. Straight across the cricket pitch, thus saving some steps, but I had plenty - 7,846 steps.
JR and Archie walked down to Waitrose later to pick up a couple of things for tomorrow. Archie likes waiting there for JR - she can see him for most of the time.
I've been in touch with a very nice aide to my local MP, regarding a tour of Parliament. I keep changing the chosen day. This afternoon it was settled and agreed upon at last, until I realised that we wouldn't even BE IN LONDON on that day! Profuse apologies to the very patient young woman trying to fit in with my ever-changing vague plans. All set now...
