Disneyland Paris Day 1

Early flight to CDG then to Disneyland! Flight was easy. Kara fell asleep before takeoff for her first ever flight because she’d been up since 1:30am too excited! She was awake for landing at least.

Got the fast train through to Disneyland, dropped the bags off at the Newport Bay Hotel. Was about 1pm so room wasn’t ready yet. Then to the actual park!

Our plan had been a wander around the main Disneyland park today to get our bearings. We walked in, got Kara a special badge because it’s her birthday soon. Saw Mary Poppins and Bert were over on the bandstand so popped over. They came and said hello to Kara which was lovely. Mickey shaped sandwiches at the Market House Deli. Very tasty. We got to see Minnie’s Marching Band come past too.

One of the things I wanted to try and do was get in the virtual queue for Spider-Man. I’d heard it was tricky so needed to be on the ball when it opened at 2pm. Got a slot for 58 mins later. Meant we had to change plans and head to Studios now but worth it. Spidey was great and really interactive with Kara. She showed him some breakdancing moves too!

After that we caught the Frozen show and Kara just watched in awe at it all. A quick few rides, Kara loved the Slinky Dog one. Dinner at Chez Remy was delicious and we were so full afterwards.

An action packed first day but it’s been so much fun.
