A big day

Today has been looming for a while.

I had to present at a board meeting today, last time the board met my area of work was hauled over the coals and it didnt good well - I wasn't at that meeting. So today I was determined that wouldn't happen again, and it didn't. 

Straight from there i was off to Hammersmith as a 'key note' speaker. Was super fun. Slight technical hitch, the presentation was on huge screens behind me, I had my notes and a monitor on the floor in front. To read the notes I needed my glasses, to see the monitor I had to take them off, so there ended up with a bit of guess work as to where I was in the presentation, but all seemed well. 

Glad that is all done. I'd promised myself a glass of wine, but instead took the boys to karate and then finally got to spend time with the husband and quietly celebrate the last 4 years as its the anniversary of his Sudden Cardiac Arrest. Not many people survive being out cold for 20 minutes, but he did - he's pretty darn strong, but gave us quite a scare at the time
