A beautiful bunch from Bavers
I worked my way through the ironing pile early morning, then drove down to Mum's.
My niece, Ashley, came over from BT to see Mum this morning. When she left we drove into Kingsteignton to pick up a click & collect order. Cheap & cheerful patio parasols £9.99 each. George & Jean wanted 2, plus 1 for Mum. Then nipped into Tesco's to pick up 2 hot pasties from the Rowrs I store bakery. Drove to Stover Country Park arriving spot on 12.30 which was when I had arranged for us to meet Bavers & Pat for a picnic lunch. It was perfect. An interesting level walk for Mum, many ducks, Canada geese, a swan, plus the occasional Robin looking for a tasty morsel. A picnic bench in the sunshine, a warm pasty washed down with a coffee. Bavers had picked a few flowers from her garden for Mum plus another colouring in book, & a tub of mystery bean seed for me harvested from the plants we found tucked under a gorse bush on the Moor last year.
Mum had a choc ice when we got back to CK. An easy lunch today.
Back home to hubby. Drive up to the allotment to pick kale for his drinking buddy. Gerry was there watering her sister & hubby's plot. Not a happy bunny. "it's always hot when they go away". I told her I'd put in a good word for her on their return.
Dropped hubby at the pub, came home, planted the bean seed, and potted on my pretty little geranium that has overwintered in the greenhouse into a lovely blue glazed pot.
