Sunset
Such a lovely morning, sunny and warm. A colleague and I worked together on a report, which has been less than straightforward. Not our best piece of work, but we were almost done by the time I finished this evening. I also fitted in a quick run to the shops at lunchtime to collect an order, and a really interesting meeting this afternoon.
Once home this evening, I had to pack an overnight bag, while TT sorted out tea, then I left to head up to my parents.
Not far from home I had to stop to check I had packed something. Thankfully I had, so continued on my way, only to find that part of the Edinburgh bypass was closed. What a nightmare. Thankfully was vaguely familiar with the diversion, but it was unbelievably slow, as there were temporary traffic lights part way along the diversion route, which brought the traffic to a standstill. There were many impatient drivers.
I eventually got back onto the bypass, and continued on my journey. I encountered two more sets of roadworks, but neither really held me up. The only positive from this delayed journey, was the amazing evening sky, which continued to entertain me almost all the way to my destination.
My mum and dad had waited up for my arrival. My mum went to bed quite quickly, then I went for the quickest walk to the other end of their village and back again to stretch out after sitting down for too long. I then fell into bed.
When I stopped to check my bag, I also managed to grab a quick blip.
