Not really accurate that cats sleep anywhere; they are adept at choosing the best place - in this case, a sunny spot on the floor, as the morning (and now the night) was quite cold, but warm in the sun.

Gratefuls:
- helping Mike begin to move the ugly blue-covered heap of firewood into the woodshed
- unexpected chat with Allegra, who is studying the Amazon in school, and didn't think her teacher would believe that her Nana grew up there, and my sister in Texas sending me photos of us there (I have some, but in attic of Sutton house)
- walking over to Melissa's plot of land, chatting and watching the sunset over the Lake
