Starling-proof bird feeders

For the past 10 days I've been inundated by Starlings coming to the bird feeders.  They have been very persistent and do not fly off until I'm about 3 feet away from them. so much so that there have not been any small birds visiting for 2 -3 days now.   I saw these bird feeders advertised at the garden centre as being pigeon -proof and J and I went along to the centre on our way home after being at the bowling green for some more practise.  

The two that are new, are the very large one on the left hand side that prevents the large birds from getting to the food in the cylinder in the centre and the smaller one on the far right that is made of a strong plastic material and has two very short perches that prevent the larger birds from bending to get to the food.  Some may think that I'm being cruel to the larger birds, but they get plenty of scraps from the playground of 4 schools that are between 1/4 and one mile of my garden and they get lots of food that falls to the ground when the smaller birds are feeding.
