The Gyrn

This is one of our favourite walks if we are feeling masochistic. The path from Llansilin gently ascends the slope before heading almost straight up for over 250m, it's fun to see how far we can get before we need to stop for a breather. On this day we broke our record so that was ace. At the top of the hill apart from the incredible views there is a delicious hollow in which to lie down, look at the sky and listen to the birds. It's always very hard to leave.
