Iris

Terri gave me some plants couple of years ago and today the first flower of the year opened..... hers, situated in her courtyard have been out for a while and look majestic.  Mine are in the backyard and just starting now....
This is a close up of the 'fluffy' bit. Such a lovely colour iris.
Swimming this morning and this afternoon I finally got to have a cuppa with number one son....his partner is undergoing a lot of treatments/tests etc as she was diagnosed with a terminal cancer last year, but so far the treatment is keeping the tumours at bay. Great news.  
Another sunny weekend promised.... hope that it materialises...though of course the garden would like a bit of rain!

Heard the gorgeous granddaughter was offered  the apprenticeship she had the interview for so - very positive news there.
