What a day
Lovely relaxing walk with Hetty before breakfast as no nursery run today. Run was warm, but enjoyable. New blinds installed, not too difficult and very pleased with the result. Curtains also back up.
Taps order delivered today ready for work in kitchen on Monday.
Just finished lunch and about to pop down to shops when door bell rang. It was our neighbour asking if I could do him a favour and hold on to his house keys and look in on his 90 year old mother occasionally as he was going to hospital. I went in with him to check she was OK to be left and felt she was not and would not be safe with us just popping in occasionally. He didn’t know how long he would be at the hospital, didn’t tell us why he was going but gave us the impression he expected to stay for a few days. Both hubby and I talked to him about our concerns and he agreed to contact the care company that looks after her. She is now in a short stay care home and he is still at hospital and not yet contacted us. He said he felt happier that she was now in a safer place. I could not believe he thought leaving her and giving us a key to look in occasionally was a good idea. She is almost blind and can do very little for herself.
Main road closed for a couple of hours as three car crash with emergency services blocked off the road so daughter came the long way round to pick me up for a trip to garden centre.
Fish feeding frenzy amused grandson.
We had coffee in the garden as it was so warm.
Hubby took Hetty out for a walk while I cooked dinner.
