Both Sides

A circular walk this morning on the western edge of Dartmoor. The outward walk followed the disused Yelverton to Princetown railway. I always like to imagine the scene looking out of a railway carriage window. People would have looked out over fields of buttercups, scattered trees thick with May blossom and distant views of Walkhampton Church and Kit Hill in Cornwall on the horizon (See extra).
The return route through the forest emerges on the open more with stunning views over Burrator Reservoir (main blip photo).
