Llanrhystud to Aberystwyth.....phew
In view of the continued good weather I decided to walk the 10 miles from Llanrhystud to Aberystwyth along the Ceredigion Coastal path. I last did it over 10 years ago and had forgotten how challenging it is. There is a lot of steep climbs and descents but the views and wildlife are tremendous. The main is the view looking down on Aberystwyth after the final climb. I saw lots of birds including stonechats (1st extra), wheatears (2nd extra) and pipits (?rock in 3rd extra). There were a few butterflies around including a rather "moth-eaten" Painted Lady (4th extra)
When I arrived in Aberystwyth, I headed to the fishmonger to buy some delicious tuna and dressed crab. Next door is a bar serving a vast and changing array of craft beers where I had a refreshing pint of Pollys before catching the bus back to Aberaeron.
All in all a grand day out.
