Late Blip!
I am pleased to say that with rest yesterday afternoon and evening, my right leg thigh muscle has improved.
We are now up in Lancashire, having driven up the M6, M62, and M66 to my cousin Susan’s. Just over 100 miles.
It was great that the M6 traffic was free flowing all the way up!
Glorious day. Actually a lot warmer up here than at home when we set off!
My sister Shirley and my brother-in-law, Neil drove over from Knaresborough in North Yorkshire to Rawtenstall and we all went for lunch at the pub.
One of the staff took the photo.
Later in the afternoon we drove over to Chorley via the M65 and M6 again, to see Heidi, our former daughter-in-law (who was married to our Matt who died).
She has settled well back here from Dallas, Texas, with Peter the much travelled Weiner dog, and is now the Church Administrator for the Living Waters Church, Chorley.
A growing church with lots of young adults and families.
It is actually where she and our Matt were married in 2000!
She calls us Mum and Dad.
Photo of her in extras.
Now back at the hotel where we are staying overnight.
And she is coming tomorrow morning for a coffee in the lounge before we head off home.
She herself is going kayaking with some friends in the afternoon at Lower Rivington Reservoir as it was a long standing arrangement, so we said not to change it.
We’d rather be heading off back down the M6 just before lunch. It gets very busy late afternoon into teatime.
I have really enjoyed my trip up here.
Time for bed now.
