Carrying the weight of popular demand

Friday at work... 

What a laugh, our boss bought a bike last week through Cycle To Work Scheme, and today he invited us all to join him.   Also came up with a "works day out" to "cycle round Arran  (Island to the left of the horizon) . 

ha ha ha- I said,  what is it?  22 miles?  no chance.   No he said, "it's 56 miles,  22 miles across the clyde on the ferry and then 56 miles round the island."

Dear god.  I looked at him and laughed.  Have I lied too well about my age? 

Seriously.  Are they trying to kill me?
