Brick Alley Almshouses 1718

I'm not a morning person and most of my Abingdon shots are taken in the afternoon or early evening.

However, this morning I had two early morning appointments in town. I took advantage of the half hour gap between them and had a quick wander down to St Helen's Wharf .

Brick Alley is one of three sets of almshouses to be found in St Helen's churchyard. Their back view, shown here, is almost as impressive as their front view.
