Green & Pleasant Land

Sunny weather returned in time for the week’s end: at work, there was a general consensus that this had been a long one. The good news is that not only is it Friday, but it is the last day before I have a week of annual leave running into a bank holiday—ten consecutive days of delicious slothfulness. There have been some silly shenanigans with roadworks near the Whitfield roundabout this week, so I’ve been taking the country lanes home every evening. I stopped along the way, in Coldred, to take a photo of this scene: open fields glimpsed through a tunnel in the line of trees.
