My sister Nicky and I chatted at length last night, a lot of it about my car because I've decided to cut my losses and sell. The used car market is a dog eat dog experience in my view, and we both agreed that I was unlikely to get anywhere sticking to my principles, warranty notwithstanding. The car has been an expensive mistake in every way, it doesn't suit me at all.
Therefore, when Nicky left for home after breakfast, I visited a Toyota dealership, went for a test drive and put a deposit down on a small car. It is not sporty, does not have turbo, or low profile tyres, and the tech is minimal but hopefully working and there are only 20,000 miles on the clock. I'm happy!
Then home for a very late lunch and out for a walk, calling at the allotment to water of course.
