Field of Beans

The landscape here in Kent is so different from at home in North Devon. Not just fewer hills, but bigger fields, arable rather than livestock, and fewer hedgerows so you can actually see across fields from the road.

We did a lovely three-ish mile walk from Goodnestone to Chillenden and back. This as a bean field we crossed. If you look carefully, on the horizon, you can see a windmill - not a modern wind turbine but a proper old fashioned windmill. I wonder if people complained about their construction back when they were being built.
