Photinia Blossom

Saturday. First day of my annual leave, which always feels full of possibilities. It’s cold and grey outside, but I was up early and took advantage of the soft morning light to take some photos in the garden. The photinia bushes are currently covered in pretty white blossoms—it's a very versatile shrub to have around: lovely red leaves, white flowers, it’s very easy to grow and has year-round foliage, making it perfect for providing a bit of structure and privacy to a garden. I’ll probably spend most of the day relaxing and decompressing from work. There’s a walk in Hythe scheduled for tomorrow, with the Steely-Eyed Ninjas, and I plan to set out on several photography trips over the coming week.
