Pictish Carving

Went for a guided tour around Weymss Caves on the Fife coast today. Fascinating stuff - they’re full of Pictish era carvings like this one of a Pictish spear carrier, as well as carvings from earlier times. This is a fascinating experience for anyone interested in this period of ancient history. It’s amazing what is in there and even more amazing it’s not better protected or explored. Ignore the fish thing bisecting the human like figure. It’s only a couple of hundred years old and was added many centuries after the original!!!
