Greenwich pigeons

Up early this morning (6:30, ugh), to pack, check out of the hotel and get over to Deptford for a dentist appointment.  I stopped off at the hotel reception briefly to let them know about the searingly hot shower in my room and suggest they might want to fix the thermostat for the next person that stays there!

I walked over to Bethnal Green station, only to then remember that there are two Bethnal Green stations, and I was in the wrong one.  Hurried back over to the other one, and caught the Tube to Stratford and then the DLR to Greenwich - and phoned the dentist's to let them know I was going to be a few minutes late.  Got there OK (albeit 10 mins late).  Nice to see my lovely dentist again, and she seemed very pleased with my dental health, which was a relief, not having been for about a year.  Had a clean, and booked in for a couple of appointments to get a crown fitted in October/November.

Hot-footed it over to the office after that - worked from there for a couple of hours, ate a quick lunch with a few colleagues, and then got myself over to Paddington to catch the train home.  Worked on the first train quite successfully, but didn't bother trying on the one from Exeter to Barnstaple, which was pretty rammed.  Very happy to see Tim waiting for me at the station, and to get back home with him :)  Did my best to stay awake in the evening, though failed a bit towards the end.
