. . . orange and the inevitable (at the moment) blue.

Interesting watching a guy sitting on the roof, levering out the slates and deciding with each one whether it could be used again. When a decision had been made, the slate was slid down the roof where it was caught by a young lad who either put it in a bucket or threw it down into a skip. 

Highly skilled, but laborious work. This is going to take a long time. One of the oldest houses in the village, I wonder when the roof was first built.
